Universal Geneve Compax, Rare Reference 224103 Circa 1950's

$6,500.00

A rare variant of the Compax, reference 224103 from(I believe) the 1950's. Haven't been able to find another example outside of the archival photo(in which the example has a Jaeger signature - strange), or the advertisement featured at the end of the photos.

Case: 35 mm steel three piece case, snap caseback

Dial: non-luminous silver dial, mirror minute ring, blue outer Telemter scale

Movement: UG cal. 285, manual winding, 17 jewels

Bracelet: leather strap

Condition: watch is in good, original condition. Dial is maybe a 6.5-7.5/10, with some dirt and discoloration. Case Case appears unpolished, with factory finishes throughout - however, has some wear: the tip of the rear of the top right lug has some damage, and the 9 o' clock side of the case has scratches from ill-placed watchmaker tools. Case furthermore has some scratches throughout. Movement runs at time of listing. Service history is unknown and timekeeping is not measured/guaranteed. Servicing is recommended.
